This was our first summer away from Vancouver since moving, and as we all sweated inside for 4 months in 100+ degree weather, we all had some serious Vancouver withdrawls.
So... what's the logical way to resolve this problem.
Ditch the heat, hop a few planes, and go to Vancouver for a few days.
It was perfect!
Beautiful weather, and amazing friends!
What more could we ask for?
Our first day there we went to our favorite park with our favorite people:
Complete with train rides:
A lifesize maze (which Porter rocked):
Streams to splash in:
Paddle-boats and a pond:
And a petting zoo, bouncy houses, and a swimming pool! (All for $5 a person!)
Between the three of us moms we had 8 kids under 7. There was a lot of kid corralling, but it was a perfect day for everyone.
I apparently was terrible at taking pictures this trip too, but we spent the few days visiting our favorite parks, and of course the Salvation Army!
The kids enjoyed the late night parties:
And Scouter loved every minute of her friend fanciefying her face
And after 4 days of non-stop playing. . .
I think this picture of P. Dizzle on the flight home pretty much summed up how we all felt.
